From Nikes to Stilettos
A little over a week ago my husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary. And it was magical. He set up a really fun day at the Ski Bowl Adventure Park, and boy did we go on some adventures! We started the day off with a little go-cart race that I am pretty sure I smoked him in, and then we headed for the horse trail. I was especially excited about horseback riding because I haven't done it since I was a little girl. About 5 minutes into our trail one of our horses got spooked and sent the whole squad on a 15 second sprint in the other direction. It was the scariest 15 seconds of the day, but it made for a great anniversary story and an even better Go- Pro video. After that we spent the rest of the day bungee jumping, tight-rope walking through the trees and racing down the alpine slides. We ended our adventurous day with a quick stop at Trillium Lake, where we snapped some breathtaking pictures of the lake & mountain.
When we made it home it was "go time" once again. We had about 45 minutes to get ready for our best friend's joint birthday party at a Posh sports bar located in the Pearl District. I traded in my Nike Spandex for a lace, white, "Love Fire", dress, and my dirty Nike Huaraches for a pair of nude, patent leather, strappy, Jimmy Choos. I paired this look with a bright red Mac shade of lipstick and soft curls. What's a better day to show your man that you've still got it, than your 1 year anniversary?
