My Bucket List
Now that I am less than two months away from my 26th birthday I’ve been doing some serious reevaluating of my life. This extreme evaluation began about a year ago. Basically, ever since I walked down the aisle I’ve been asked “when are you having kids? How many kids are you having?” And yes, my maternal clock did start ticking the moment I cut the cake on my wedding day. But kids are a huge commitment and I haven’t planned for them, YET. So I put “Kids” on my list and I’ve moved on to the next adventure. See, I’ve never been a go-with-the-flow type of girl. If you know me, you know that I plan everything. And if you know how life works, you know it’s not actually feasible to plan everything in life. But I am a firm believer in speaking things into existence and focusing your energy on your dreams to accomplish them. An easy way to visualize your dreams? Write them down so you can eventually cross them out. I was recently able to cross “blogging” and seeing a drive-in movie off of my bucket list. And since then I've added a few things to my list. Check them out below!
2.See the Northern Lights in Iceland or Alaska
3.Buy a home with at least 3 acres of land
4.Take a road trip across the country, just me and my Hubby
5.Take my Grandma on a vacation
6.Visit Turks & Caicos, Greece & New Zealand
7.Publish a book
8.Hike the Mayan ruins
9.Fire watch from a tower
10.Start a family business that puts my whole fam on!
And lastly, I want to find time to have and raise 2 kids all while going on these adventures. If you haven’t already, I highly suggest making a Bucket list, or at least a mental note of what you want to do. As you can see, my bucket list consists of mainly traveling but it could honestly be as simple as reading more, monthly date nights or anything else that makes you feel accomplished. It feels great to add new things to your list and even better when you get to cross things off.
I’d love to hear what’s on your bucket list. Drop your top 3 in the comments below!
